Training
The Biblical Counseling Ministry offers quarterly seminars designed to give training and resources to help Christians minister more biblically and effectively to people who struggle in particular ways. These are for parents, pastors, Christian workers, youth workers, elders, small group leaders, students, and anyone who desires to be better equipped to minister biblically to people in their circle of influence. Examples of issues addressed include fear, worry and anxiety, anger, addictions, and depression.
We welcome opportunities to work with churches to address for them a particular training need. We are also available to minister through Sunday messages, men's or women's retreats, and leadership training events.
We also provide training in local churches for individuals desiring to be better equipped for personal ministry in general. The Changing Hearts, Changing Lives video/DVD series is the tool we use for this training. Christians are taught how to think biblically as they interact with people who are dealing with the problems of life.
We answer three fundamental questions:
• Why do people do the things they do?
• How does lasting change take place in a person's life?
• How can I be used by God as an instrument in another's life?
Individuals will be trained to be skilled helpers who respond effectively to the ministry opportunities they encounter daily. This seminar demonstrates that the Bible explains and is relevant to the deepest issues of life. It also illustrates how the Gospel speaks with practical and specific hope, help and guidance to hurting people.
